Homework Feedback

Well done to: Alfie, Chloe Collins, Amy, Chloe H, Harrison, Aiden, Ewan (who did the homework four times), Harry and Ladybird

Aren’t you all soooo lucky to have great parents at home to help!!!

Great to see so many more replies on the BLOG.

It seems you all mainly found the subtraction sums with the second number missing the hardest. Don’t worry we will do plenty of practise in school.

If you look closely: 12 - * = 7.

Put the numbers on a number line, smallest first.
Count up from the smallest number to the biggest number (finding the difference).
The difference between the two is the answer.
(No need to subtract - use what you already know about adding)

You all completed the homework and left a message on the BLOG

Homework 25.1.08

HOMEWORK - comments by Thursday 31st January (next week)

Dear super class 2, your homework today links to our number work from this week.

Follow the link below.

There are three levels, medium, hard and really hard. I expect most of you to be on the 'hard' level but please push yourself. If you do not do so well first time, have another go, make a number line or 100 square for yourself and ask for help from someone at home.

Test yourself!

Leave examples of the questions and answers in the comments on the BLOG.

Good Luck

Homework Feedback

Dear all,

Unfortunately, (check the opener) I have only recieved a reply from Ewan on last weeks homework, so a very BIG well done to Ewan. Ewan found his 10 number bonds to 20 -BRILLIANT - you STAR EWAN!!!

I think some of you may have got confused and went on 'Group 1 Maths' this, of course, was not your homework, please read the headings carefully.

Ewan found these number bonds to 20

9+11, 12+8, 2+18, 17+3, 19+1, 0+20, 7+13, 14+6, 15+5, 18+2.

I wonder if you could help me? What happens if we swap the numbers around? do they still add up to 20?

E.G. 9+11 turns into 11+9. Is this still 20?

I expect examples posted in the comments.

Thanks to - well - EWAN - YOU SUPER STAR
